It all begins with a greetings
To ensure that you have a good business experience here in St. Croix, when you enter an establishment as a customer you greet the host by saying “Greetings,” Good Morning,” Good Evening or Good Night.” Yes VI’s are very particular when it comes to the ediquitsy of acknowledging their presence. This simple gesture goes a long way. Not saying nothing when entering an establishment on St. Croix is regarded as a sign of disrespect. At the same time business employees should be welcoming and accommodating to potential customers. A “greeting” from the customer and a “welcome” by the establishments representative helps to create an atmosphere of respect for each other, that then leads to cooperation in resolving the task at hand.
